The type specimen poster was an academic project in my Graphic Communications program. Despite the limitations of this assignment--no illustrations, only letterforms, lines, and shapes, and no colors allowed, except for black, white, and an accent--I found a way to display the Baskerville typeface and keep it all about the type. My design successfully communicated the origin of the Baskerville typeface and its available forms.
My former instructor still uses my poster as an example when introducing this assignment to his type and layout classes.
